Dr Mikenzi Pettenger

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Mikenzi Pettenger’s interest in physical therapy grew from her lifelong love of movement and desire to work in the medical field. After playing softball for 10 years, she saw physical therapy as a natural way to combine her athletic background with her passion for helping others heal.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Science from Stetson University in 2015 and her Master of Health Science from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2020. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2024, graduating with High Honors.

During her doctoral training, Dr. Mikenzi completed her final clinical experience in professional sports with the Baltimore Orioles organization. She also gained experience in skilled nursing and post-operative rehabilitation. She especially enjoys working with patients recovering from joint replacement surgery, particularly knee replacements. With today’s advances in surgical care, she enjoys helping patients progress safely and encouraging them to accomplish more than they initially thought possible after a major procedure.

For Dr. Mikenzi, one of the most rewarding parts of physical therapy is watching patients make a complete transformation from the day they first enter the clinic to the day they complete their care. She sees her role as both a clinician and a coach—guiding, encouraging, and cheering patients on as their own determination and dedication lead them back to greater strength, movement, and confidence.

Outside the office, Dr. Mikenzi enjoys spending time with her husband, their young child, and their two dogs. As a family, they love working in their garden and visiting the aquarium, pool, and beach.

Everyone is courteous and professional. Just love the monthly massages I get for the Wellness Club. I would recommend Premier to everyone. Friends love their physical therapists too.

As a professional golfer, I hurt my back and went to Premier, they were nothing but superb!!! I did chiropractic work, massage and acupuncture. This facility is first class top notch. Dr. Steel is awesome! I can’t rate this any higher or I would.

My husband & I joined the Wellness Club in Dec. of 2018. It's the best thing we have done for our health. Dr. Jensen and all the staff are friendly & professional. We use the chiro care, massage, and PT. I would never go anywhere else.

I went here for TMJ, and with just a few months of physical therapy and adjustments with Dr. Kyle, it was like nothing was ever wrong. It was always a 10/10 experience when I am there, and I would recommend to anyone! THANK YOU!!
