Dr. Christopher Horne, D.C.

Growing up in Aurora, Ohio, Dr. Christopher Horne was a competitive wrestler throughout his high school and college career. At the age of 14 he was injured during a practice debilitating him from any physical activities. He was referred to an orthopedic surgeon and diagnosed with multiple disc herniations. The surgeon ultimately felt he was too young to be a candidate for surgery and referred him to a Chiropractor. While treating with the Chiropractor he received flexion and distraction therapy and in two weeks time, Dr. Horne was on his feet and back at practice. It was at this time that Dr. Horne decided that there was no other profession for him, he would become a Chiropractor.

Dr. Horne attended Ohio University, graduating in 2009 with his Bachelors of Sciences focused in Physical Therapy and Psychology. There he participated in the Physiological Psychology Research Department as a research assistant focusing on neuropsychological testing. He interned at the Cleveland Clinic working in the physical therapy department for two summers and shadowed two Chiropractors throughout his years at Ohio University. These Chiropractors helped guide him to the next step of his education, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida.

At Palmer College Dr. Horne began to take focus on neurological side of the Chiropractic field.  He interned at Functional Healthcare Solutions in North Carolina evaluating complex neurological diseases and working with children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. Dr. Horne co-founded the Functional Neurology Club teaching fellow students and holding the office of Vice-President and Treasurer. Throughout his time as a student Dr. Horne saw the value in teaching others. He not only held multiple Teaching Assistant positions but also worked as a tutor for the US Navy. He believes strongly in the Latin origin of Doctor which means, “to teach”. Dr. Horne graduated in June 2013 with his Doctor of Chiropractic spending multiple semesters on the Dean’s list. He continues working on becoming a board certified Chiropractic Neurologist through The Carrick Brain Centers which he anticipates completing this year.

In 2013, Dr. Horne began his career with Premier Wellness Centers bringing his passion for neurology and desire to teach with him. He has quickly become an asset to the company solving patient problems from a new and different perspective.
