Meet the Doctors
Dr. Bill Jensen D.C.
Born in Bozeman Montana, Dr. Bill Jensen always had a love for sports. It was this passion for competition that would bring him into the career that he is in today. At the age of 9, Dr. Jensen was already actively involved with soccer, basketball, baseball, karate and amateur wrestling. While wrestling one day against a friend in practice he sustained a severe neck injury that left him temporarily paralyzed from the neck down. After a few anxious moments he slowly regained feeling in his arms and legs and it seemed that everything was fine, with the exception of a sore neck. Days later however, it was apparent that things were not alright as he began to have severe migraine headaches with any type of physical activity. Running, jumping, literally anything would trigger a headache. Then followed by 8-10 hours of agonizing head pain with nausea and vomiting until the headache would finally pass.
At the advice of a family friend Dr. Jensen was taken to the local town chiropractor for an evaluation and his mother and father were told he had a subluxation (bone out of its normal alignment) on the upper right side of his neck which was pinching a nerve causing the headaches. So he began treatment, and within 3 chiropractic adjustments the headaches were gone. Once again all seemed like it was going to be fine until 3 years later when Dr. Jensen and his family moved to Western Montana. In Western Montana are the Rocky Mountains and most everyone in that part of the state goes snow skiing every weekend.
Within a couple weeks his health took a turn for the worse as the same migraine headaches began to affect him after a full day of skiing. Both he and his family never thought it could be the result of the prior neck injury 3 years earlier. Yet the only relief he could get from the headaches was when his father would massage his neck. Clearly, something was still wrong with his neck, so back to another town chiropractor and the results were the same. Subluxation in the same area as before, it had just not had been bad enough to cause the symptoms as before since his body had adapted to the misalignment. This chiropractor was different though. He taught Dr. Jensen and his family the importance of correcting the problem and getting the symptoms under control but also the value of supportive care and its role in sustaining health.
Never again would Dr. Jensen stop getting chiropractic treatment, for that matter never again since 1987 did he ever have another migraine headache. As he became a young adult the family moved to Minnesota where Dr. Jensen excelled in sports and always went to the chiropractor for injuries as well as for supportive care. It became evident by high school that a career had already been chosen. Dr. Jensen enrolled at the University of Minnesota and began the pre-med program. He then applied and started school at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. In December of 2000, Dr. Jensen graduated with his chiropractic degree and Bachelors of Science in human biology.
In June 0f 2001, Dr. Jensen made the move to sunny South Florida and began working at County Line Chiropractic Centers. Over the past 10 years Dr. Jensen has helped thousands of people regain and maintain their health through his care. He has helped open and develop two successful practices in South Florida, has opened a third office in the Tradition Township in Port. Saint Lucie and now has opened a fourth in Palm Beach Gardens called 1 Advanced Rehab & Wellness Center. He has a background in the diagnosis and treatment of sports, auto and work related injuries and has authored several article to treatment protocols for pediatric patients. His purpose in life is to teach people that good health is the door to improving every aspect of one's life and holistic health care is the key.
In the wise words of Thomas Edison, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."
Dr. Jon Paul Fritz D.C.
Dr. Jon Paul Fritz's sweeping knowledge and passion about chiropractic care can be traced back to his collegiate athletic career. Excelling in all things sports as a child in Youngstown Ohio, Dr. Fritz continued playing football while attending Mercyhurst College in Erie Pennsylvania. A hard hit during a game in his freshman year, to his right hip, would prove to be a life changing moment.
Hip and low back pain continued to follow Dr. Fritz for the rest of the season. Regular treatment from the team's athletic trainers had not been able to correct the problem, and following the advice of a teammate Dr. Fritz sought out a chiropractic opinion. The chiropractor described to Dr. Fritz how an imbalance in his hips was the underlying cause of his continued pain; the hit he sustained in the game only served to exacerbate the problem, leading to a tightening of not only his hip muscles, but his low back muscles as well. One week of adjustments would have him back on the football field, and Dr. Fritz was satisfied with his treatment and "cure".
Flash forward a few years; Dr. Fritz, now holding a bachelor's of science, is actively involved with Mixed Martial Arts in the areas of Muay Thai Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Grappling. Just as suddenly as his hip and low back problems presented before, suddenly they returned. Once again Dr. Fritz found himself looking for a chiropractor. This time, fate intervened, and Fritz found himself under the care of Dr. Brian Allard, the chiropractor of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Football team. Although the issue was the same, this chiropractor was able to provide him with something that no other healthcare professional was able to before; an actual plan as to how they would treat the condition together. Additionally, Dr. Fritz was given a home exercise plan to carry out, underlying and forever emphasizing to him how important the patient's role actually is in health.
This experience solidified for Dr. Fritz how to best merge his pre-med training with his core beliefs and passions. Thus, Dr. Fritz enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic; graduating in 2010 with a degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Fritz has a background in diagnosis and treatment of sports, auto, and work related injuries. Additionally he has completed extensive continuing education courses in specific sports related injuries and treatments, such as: the Graston Technique, Active Release Technique, and Kinesio taping, which are the gold standard in the sports world. Dr. Fritz believes strongly that his continued training with and for athletes can be a vital part of every individual's life and health, no matter what path you’re on.
